DR EMILY BALL

Position: Intern

Emily graduated from Massey University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Dist) in 2020 and has been in the VSA/ Zoetis Internship programme since February 2021.

Emily applied for the VSA-Zoetis internship knowing it would be the ideal role as a new grad in her first year of practice. Emily believes the mentorship and support she receives is fantastic and rotating through the various services allows her to question and learn from all the different specialists. The busy and diverse caseload also means she is constantly on her toes, and every day brings new and exciting challenges.

Animals have an incredible propensity for survival, and our patients at VSA constantly remind us of this. For Emily it’s one of the absolute best feelings when you see an animal walk out of hospital again, and she loves that working here means she gets to be involved and be a part of their recovery.
