Sophie brings 15 years of frontline emergency and critical care experience to her role as Hospital Vet at Christchurch. She feels at her best in high‑acuity environments and finds real satisfaction in helping the sickest patients stabilise and move toward recovery. Her clinical and leadership background also shaped a strong interest in Human Factors, team culture, and how clinicians make decisions and communicate under pressure.

Alongside her clinical practice, Sophie is a qualified executive coach who supports veterinary and non‑veterinary professionals in developing resilience and sustainable high performance.

In her spare time she’s a keen triathlete and an enthusiastic explorer of New Zealand’s outdoors, often found hiking or adventuring with her Labrador, Laura. She also volunteers with Girl Guides New Zealand, helping young women build confidence, capability, and practical life skills.
