DR TOMMY FLUEN

Position: Registered Specialist Internal Medicine

Tommy initially studied ecology at the University of Canterbury and worked as an environmental scientist for three years. He then moved to Melbourne to study veterinary medicine and graduated with a DVM in 2014.  Tommy moved to the United Kingdom after graduation first working in general practice and then completing an internship at Davies Veterinary Specialists.

Tommy returned to New Zealand in 2016 and began an internal medicine residency at the Veterinary Specialist Group. Tommy became a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in 2020 and is a Registered Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine. 

Tommy’s partner, Josie, is also a veterinarian and they have two cats and a two-year-old boy, Ted.
