Dr Edward Hart

Position: Resident in Small Animal Surgery

Edward finished his veterinary studies at Massey University in December 2017. As a new graduate he worked as an Intern at VSA (internship sponsored by Zoetis) before heading overseas to Canada to continue his path to specialisation.  

While in Canada he completed a rotating internship at the Ontario Veterinary College – Veterinary Teaching Hospital, and a specialty internship in surgery at Toronto Animal Health Partners. In July 2021 he jumped at the opportunity to continue his speciality training back in NZ and is now completing a three-year European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) residency programme. Edward is very excited to be completing speciality training with his previous (and new) VSA colleagues!  

Edward enjoys all aspects of surgery, with a special interest in minimally invasive surgical procedures. In his spare time, Edward heads out to explore the cafés and restaurants in Auckland, spends time at the beach and goes hiking.
